Information on the Red and Blue game boy game
(givin to me by Jolteons page)

Pokemon for Gameboy was released on September 28th in the U.S. It was the top-selling game in Japan and has arrived here in the U.S! There is a red and blue version of the game. The object is to become the world's greatest Pokemon trainer of all time and catch all 150 Pokémon.

In Pokemon, you are one of two boys chosen by Professor Oak to collect data on all the Pokemon in the world. You are given one Pokemon to begin with. Your choices are Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. One of the boys, Prof. Oak's grandson, is Gary. You will often have to compete with him. To catch any Pokemon at all, you must buy Pokeballs. Three different types of balls exist. The normal Pokeball, the Great Ball, and the Ultra Ball. If you catch a Pokemon while having your limit of six, they are automatically transported to the computer, available in every PokeCenter. There are also eight gyms with Pokemon trainers like you that you need to challenge to receive your badges and move on. Beat all eight of these gym trainers, and you join the Pokemon League, a group of the best Pokemon trainers there ever was.
