Ash
Ketchum: The 10 year-old from Pallet Town. He is
the main character of the show. He is kind of
annoying and sometimes considers himself better
because of his badges. He makes friends pretty
well. He is always in pursuit of his rival Gary. 
Gary Oak: Professor Oak's grandson. He
is Ash's rival and is always bragging. He has
caught a lot of Pokemon (at least 45) and has his
own personal fan club consisting of six girls. He
will never stop making fun of Ash. Like Ash, he
is also from Pallet Town
Pikachu: Anyone who doesn't
know this guy needs a reality check. He's the
main pokemon who everyone loves. Team Rocket is
always trying to steal Pikachu. Unlike most
pokemon, he doesn't stay in a Pokeball. He just
walks around with Ash or just sits on his head.
He was Ash's first pokemon and is probably his
strongest
Professor Oak: He is the authority on
Pokemon. Many trainers keep him in high regard.
He gave Ash and Gary their first Pokemon. He
lives in Pallet Town and is the creator of the
Pokedex. He keeps Pokemon around his house too.
If Ash catches a new Pokemon, it will go to Oak
(Like Krabby or Muk).
Misty is a
water Pokemon Fanatic. She is also the gym leader
of Cerealon Gym. Ash had once borowed her bike
and damaged it. Now she fallows ash around
wherever he goes.
Brock is
also another gym leader. He consantrais on rock
Pokemon like onix and geodude. But he wants to
become a famous pokemon breeder so he set out
with Ash and Misty. In almost every seen with him
it appears that his eyes are closed but there
not.
Jesse: The female member
of Team Rocket. She dreams of looking pretty and
capturing Pikachu. Her pokemon is Arbok, it used
to be Ekans, she also supposedly has a Lickitung.
She is cunning and shows up everywhere Ash goes
attempting yet another doomed plan.
James: The male member of Team Rocket.
He thinks about two things mainly: Food and
capturing Pikachu. His pokemon is Weezing, it
used to be Koffing. He supposedly has a
Victreebel. He was born into a rich family but
ran away to join Team Rocket. 
Meowth is the third member
of Team Rocket. Few people realize it, but he is
extremely valuable as a team member. He keeps
both Jesse and James in check and is the one of
the only known pokemon-human translator which
makes him valuable when talking to other pokemon
(like the Squirtles).
